Player: Hudson Fitzgerald
Class: 2026
AAU: WCBA
School: Broughton

The class of 2026 continues to bring early intrigue and as they head into their sophomore season, there will be plenty of new names that pop up more and more to learn about.  One player that has really elevated his play though this summer and should start being on many more radars is 2026 Hudson Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald, a player that attends Broughton, has certainly shown that he can be a game-changer with his confident play.  He is one of the top shooters from deep in the state, and he has proven that time after time.  He shoots it at an extremely high clip and with a ton of confidence; he is currently shooting around 45 percent for the summer behind the arc and nearly 68 percent from the field.  He has a good early frame that allows him to battle against opponents, he shows that there isn’t a shot he doesn’t like, gets out and gets to his spots well, but also makes high IQ decisions as well.

Fitzgerald is one that I would certainly have on my watch list, as I got a feeling you will be hearing his name a lot more in the coming years.

What Has Been Said:

“Talk about lighting it up on the court, Fitzgerald showcased why he should be looked at as one of the top deep-range shooters in the Class of 2026 here in NC. Fitzgerald was terrific getting out to the open spots, and displaying his range and confident release. Time after time he was letting it fly, knocking down shots, and showcasing his IQ. He was an absolute game-changer on the court to start the day.”

“If you can shoot it at an elite level, you have a role on any team no matter how big or small. But when you have varying methods of shot selection with consistent, high-percentage results like Hudson has shown, you turn into a game-changer that every team should want. Threes add up a lot faster than twos, and even if you’re in his pockets all game long he does a great job of finding good looks within sets or the natural flow of motion. His stroke is as pure as any I’ve seen in the state regardless of if it’s a spot-up, pullup, or coming off the move-around screens. Watch for him to keep making a name for himself in this class.”
