At the Phenom Team Camp, the Greenfield Knights showcased their experience and talent. This is a team that has continued to prove itself season after season, and it looks like they will be strong once again.

Winning over 600 wins in his career so far, Athletic Director and Head Coach Rob Salter jokingly said, “Well that just means I’ve been around a long time.” He says “I’ve been blessed with some really good players that have bought into what we’re trying to do.

The Knights have a lot in store for next year. They have several players returning to continue growing the program, as well as carry on the tradition others have built. “We are returning four starters and we have some really good additions. We’ve got a chance to be really good. Our experience is going to pay off; we’re athletic, and we play bigger than we look. So yeah, we’re very excited for the upcoming year.”

Being a coach with familiar faces throughout the years, the players have bought into the coach’s system to keep getting better. “I think it’s respect and accountably, you know they buy into what we’re doing, they’ve seen it when they were younger, they want to be a part of something special, and they come in and give everything they have,” Coach Salter said.

You may have seen at the Team Camp that the Knights can’t be stopped. They can see the floor and play possession after possession without being selfish. “We’re a family, were unselfish, kids like to play our style. We like to play fast, and our guys can play basketball. These guys know that everybody has to be unselfish and show what they can do.”

Working as a team is the most important part of basketball. WE over ME. Be sure to stay up to date with the Greenville Knights this summer.
