Phenom Hoops continues to talk about teams and players we saw at the Phenom Team Camp, and though Lake Norman Charter may not get all the attention, they do have players that go a bit under the radar and deserve more attention.  So, let’s bring it their way.

Starting with 2025 6’7 Julian Johnson, this is a young man that was consistent all weekend long with his presence and ability to produce. The long forward put up impressive numbers and led the charge all throughout the weekend for Lake Norman Charter. Whether it was his ability to run the floor, make and finish plays at the rim, showcase his ability to be a rim-protector, display his ability to control the glass, and really anchor the paint as well as make a variety of other plays. With what he showed, Johnson is one that should receive more attention his way.

Then you have 2025 6’4 James Carswell, another player that produced and opened eyes throughout the event.  He has good size and frame for his position, he shoots the ball extremely well from the perimeter, he has the ability to get downhill and get to the rim, and simply brings a tough, hard-nosed mentality to the court.

Both of these players are names that fall a bit under the radar and you may not hear them all the time, but they continued to open eyes with our scouts at the Team Camp, and they deserve to be on college coaches’ radars.
