2026 James Minlend (Harrisburg Hornets)

Not many guys have the array of options to choose from with their attack at this age like James. The obvious appeal is in his length, as it opens up so much more of his capabilities, particularly with his controlled extension around the rim. Built like a longer wing but running the show and making the majority of management decisions, James has a favorable matchup with most and takes his time to pull it out and survey the floor unlike most guys with his build and athleticism.

2025 James Carswell (Lake Norman Charter)

James is one whose game has so many likable features within today’s scheme. With his size and perimeter shooting, he’s typically found himself in a 3 & D kind of role, but has clearly made strides in expanding his game off the bounce. The great transition with that offensive option for him is that he’s naturally an under control player that doesn’t get sped up. He uses his body well, has a sturdy frame with coordination, makes the right reads, and does all this within a low maintenance manner that optimizes his touches. Very difficult to not like his game or argue with the production.

2026 Cole Cloer (Orange)

Cole fits the profile and M.O. of an offensive phenom with every tool in the kit to create any type of look. He’s comfortable operating from anywhere on the floor and has the size, footwork and shooting touch to make an uncanny percentage of contested looks others wouldn’t even take. Between his prowess and mature demeanor, he has the ability to dominate a game in an effortless manner and is clearly in the conversation for top of the loaded 2026 class. He is truly THE big guard, not what others think they are when they try to fit into that role.

2027 CP Perry (Carson)

As I said a month ago, CP is set to make an immediate impact on the varsity level with his court vision and advanced understanding of the game. The ball moves with purpose , he draws deep lane help constantly to kick out, and has the skills that overcome any physical gaps against older guards. You won’t find many incoming freshman guards already finishing off of two and playing with poise under pressure when they have to make the decisions that win games, and he executed a near perfect half of execution getting every look they wanted in an impressive win over Orange.

2025 KJ Younger (Weddington)

Upon assuming a larger role with this group, KJ is making a stellar two-way impact. Interestingly enough, his package is playing like a combo of their 2023 graduates Berni Tah and Nolan Dunphy. He’s got the physical strength to do the dirty work along with a skillful handle to make decisions and shooting touch all around the lane. His activity level is high to get as much possible out of his frame, proven by him getting deflections in the press and being a constant putback presence that was dominant in the second chance category.
