2026 Markus Kerr (Chambers): A new addition to the group at Chambers, it seems like the young man was able to fit right in and give this group yet another weapon at their disposal. Kerr though fits the part, as he was able to showcase his ability to create and make plays on his own, break down defenders and find his shot, but also flow within the offense. It looks to be yet another strong season for this team, but it will be interesting to see how everything comes together.
2025 Laydon Lyerly (Newton-Conover): The big man went to work to start the day here at the Phenom Team Camp, as he did a great job in making his presence around the paint and finishing strong. He took advantage of his size and frame, rolling through defenders, finishing through contact, and simply being a strong presence on both sides in the paint.
2026 Dane Cassada (Calvary Day): It looks like Cassada’s team to start the season early, and he is just starting where he finished last year. But you can see that he has elevated his play, understands how to be that leader on the court, and really displays his full arsenal as a player. Cassada shot the ball well from all levels, showing his range, showing his strength, and how diverse he can be as a scorer.
2026 Dionte Neal (Reidsville): Though it was early in the morning, that didn’t matter at all for Neal as he went off and really showed how dynamic of a player he can be with the ball in his hands. He was showing his quickness and burst to get by defenders, was able to create space and knock down shots from deep, and consistently gets to the line. He finished with 37 points to start his day, and it looks like he will be in for another big season.
2024 Elijah Green (Covenant Day): Green is a guard that should start earning more attention his way with how he has played over the last year and what he showed at the Team Camp. One of the clear leaders on this team, Green plays with such grit on the floor. Scrappy guard that competes, looks for his own shot, reads the defense well, and just plays scrappy on both sides of the floor. Look for him to have another strong season again at Covenant Day.
2024 Will Otto (Greensboro Day): Greensboro Day is an interesting group to watch early on and will be throughout. They certainly have the formula for winning games, but they may look a bit different this year. However, Otto is one that has a big opportunity to step up on the big stage, lead this team, and set by example as well as produce. Continues to show that he is a smart player on the floor, does a nice job in making plays off the bounce but can also knock down open shots as well.
2024 Zion Walker (The Burlington School): Walker was doing what he has always been doing, showcasing his ability to lead, create, make plays off the bounce, and absolutely fill it up scoring-wise. Walker was able to play with poise and under control, find ways to be aggressive but also get others involved. Walker also did a great job in facilitating and getting others involved. He had a tremendous season last year and it doesn’t look like he is slowing down any time soon.
2026 James Minlend (Harrisburg Hornets): Minlend is a player that really grabbed our attention each time he stepped on the court. The 6’4 long prospect was able to play off the bounce, get out in transition, use his length to his advantage, and also display bounce in his game in finishing at the rim. Has the ability to guard multiple positions and is one that has a lot of potential with his game.
