2027 5’4 Ben Whitney (Carolina Tritons)

Starting with one of the most intriguing 2027 players I saw yesterday, Ben Whitney has all makings of a future star floor general. He’s got an advanced handle for his age and can create offense in several ways. Multiple times yesterday he drove and made some impressive dump-offs to guys cutting and hitting the open man on the perimeter. Not to mention he can fill it up from 3, as he hit numerous in both games off the dribble and the catch.  He may be undersized now, but as he grows his stock should rise quickly, and he will be a fun player to watch in the future.

2026 6’6 Aidan Rousseau (WCBA 2026)

This WCBA squad is loaded with talent, and Aiden is consistently a standout. He’s a long, fluid wing prospect that showed flashes of his capability to put it on the floor and hit the pull-up jumper. He operated very well out of the high post and made the right read in heavy traffic numerous times. His most obvious attraction is his ability to finish inside, as he showcased a high motor on the glass and finished strong and under control around the rim. For a 2026 it’s exciting to think about what he can turn into as he expands his game, even though he’s already a high-impact player.

2024 6’6 Trey Manhertz (Strong Center 2024)

Trey is one of those players that the more you watch him, the more you love his game. He’s a gifted athlete on the wing that can get you a bucket from all 3 levels, knocking down multiple 3’s and mid-range shots in both games. He does a good job of finding holes behind the defense and has good touch around the rim. What really separates him from other wings is his defensive IQ. His head is always on a swivel and is one of the best communicators I’ve seen this summer. He understands how to position himself on post defenders at an advanced level, and does a phenomenal job rotating into help coverage in man and zone. Love seeing players that do the little things, and Trey is one of those guys.

2027 6’1 Kannon McBride (Commit 2 Achieve)

Kannon McBride put on a show in his second game yesterday. He single-handedly blew the game wide open hitting 7 threes in a row in about a 9-minute span, ending the game with 9 total. He’s playing 2 grades up, and still is able to find his spots and be effective. He’s got limitless range and hit multiple shots coming full speed off pin-downs and staggers. He also showed flashes of his ability as a ball handler, being able to escape pressure in the press. As he continues to develop his skills as a guard, he’s definitely a player to remember.
