Just because the LIVE period is over in April, doesn’t mean that Phenom Hoops is stopping their coverage, as we are bringing you a ton of post-event coverage as well throughout the coming weeks. Let’s dive into a few players and teams that we saw at the event, as we shed light on players that performed well throughout.
Garner Road 16u Select
This is a team that I was excited to watch and they have talent that college coaches need to be eyeing, so let’s dive into the players that caught our eyes
2025 6’5 Elijah Melton – Melton has seen his stock rise this summer and we believe that more eyes should be coming his way. He has good size at 6’5 but he is also extremely strong. Melton is relentless with his presence on the glass, finishes physically strong at the rim, runs the floor and moves well, is quick off the ground, and is showing that he can be effective in a variety of other ways.
2025 6’2 Ethan Reid – Reid opened more eyes in his ability to be a shot-maker, showcase his range and ability to knock down shots off the catch and shoot as well as spacing the floor. But he didn’t just settle for his perimeter game, as he mixed it up nicely for his team.
2025 6’0 Marcel Freeman – Freeman is that tough guard that you love to have. The combo guard is one that was able to excel and get down the floor quickly in transition, find ways to create and get inside the defense, and finish shots with good angles and through contact. Really excels in using his physicality to his advantage.
