Just because the LIVE period is over in April, doesn’t mean that Phenom Hoops is stopping their coverage, as we are bringing you a ton of post-event coverage as well throughout the coming weeks. Let’s dive into a few players and teams that we saw at the event, as we shed light on players that performed well throughout.
Team WHITE 17u
Team White is a team that did have the attention of college coaches, and still should as there are a few unsigned seniors that could still help a program down the road. This is why we wanted to highlight the seniors still available, as well as others that could be ones to watch.
2023 Ricky Minard (6’3) – Minard is one that we have covered and talked about quite a bit. And he continues to bring eyes his ways as he has added a few more offers as of late. But we are talking about a 6’3 long prospect that can fill it up, stretch the floor with his outside shot, attack and gets to the basket; he really can score in a variety of ways. But also makes plays for others on the floor. He should be one that continues to have eyes his way.
2023 Demarris Day (6’2) – Day was another player that stepped up and is still an unsigned senior. Time after time, Day was able to play on and off the ball offensively. Whether it was playing off, getting to his spots, and knocking down shots off the catch and with range, or it was his ability to create and get paint touches with a soft release, Day was able to mix it up very well. He is a high IQ guard that has good size at 6’2 and also makes good reads in finding his teammates.
2023 6’1 Jeremiah Demps was another part of the trio that led the charge. He was able to fit in nicely, step out and knock down shots but also showcase his mid-range and ability to get to the basket. Demps had a very good game scoring 21 points to help lead his team in one game, but also was a consistent presence throughout.
