Just because the LIVE period is over in April, doesn’t mean that Phenom Hoops is stopping their coverage, as we are bringing you a ton of post-event coverage as well throughout the coming weeks.  Let’s dive into a few players and teams that we saw at the event, as we shed light on players that performed well throughout.

Underground Phenoms

A program that we wanted to shine a bit more on the talent of a few players, Underground Phenoms Mason was able to make some noise at the Phenom Hoops LIVE with some of their players.  2023 6’4 Jamel Williams, 2023 6’1 Landon Peterson, and 2024 6’2 Khalid Wilson all had strong and consistent performances throughout and we wanted to dive more into each of their games.

We spoke to Coach Mason about these three, as he helped break down more of each.  Here is what he had to say about their games, and why they could be players to look at more.

2024 Khalid Wilson (6’2) – He is a great all-around player. He continues to make progress with his handles and on the defensive end, but he is also a great shooter.  He is never scared of the moment, as he has a great inside and outside game.

2023 Jamel Williams (6’4) – Williams is a great inside guy.  He continues to make strides defensively, but he also can be a game-changer when he is locked in.  He can shoot the ball well, as well as a great rebounder.  He does a great job in getting the rebound and going coast-to-coast.

2023 Landon Peterson (6’1) – Peterson is another that has a strong all-around game.  There aren’t too many flaws in his game; he is a great all-around shooter, he can create a shot for himself anywhere on the floor, and he is a strong defender.  Very strong and can handle the ball also.  Peterson can play great both on and off the ball.
