6’3” ’25 Jadyn Cooper (Team Wall/Fayetteville Academy)
Cooper shined as a steady guard that impacts the game on both ends of the floor through his unselfish nature and strong frame. He has the quickness and handle to get paint touches consistently and played under control, capitalizing on the defense’s mistakes. Cooper made an array of short floaters and two-foot finishes, absorbing contact and creating openings for himself with crafty footwork and patience. He was also an impressive defender, using his frame and quickness to contain opposing guards and make them work to create anything.
6’3” ’26 Brycen DuBose (FBP Elite JG/Cardinal Gibbons)
DuBose was impressive all weekend, showing off a dominant and technical approach. He has a big and strong frame that forces defenses to put more focus on him wherever he is on the court. He’s a strong rebounder that seems to take pride in winning 50/50 balls. Offensively, DuBose has a refined skill set for his size and is incredibly tricky to stop, especially when he gets to his right. He has plus-level footwork and touch around the rim and is comfortable stepping out for the occasional three. Look for him to continue his productive summer and have a solid sophomore season for Cardinal Gibbons.
6’4” ’26 Michael Phillips II (Harvest Development Academy/Grace Christian Raleigh)
Phillips is arguably the most intriguing prospect in Raleigh thanks to his incredible length and rapidly increasing production. He’s grown from showing occasional flashes to being a consistent and high-level producer for this Harvest Development Academy team. Phillips excels as a versatile two-way piece, and he gives most opponents problems with his IQ and size. Offensively he does a bit of everything as a scorer, mainly working as a slasher and off-ball threat. He finishes through traffic well and can hit little floaters and pull-ups with relative consistency.
6’3” ’26 Braxton Davis (NC Spartans Neisler/East Surry)
Davis produced all weekend (like he’s been doing all spring), averaging 16p and 11r per game. He plays a physical and high-motor style that makes him a mismatch for almost every team the Spartans match up with. He has a high feel and a great understanding of positioning, specifically on rebounds and cuts to the rim. Davis’ outside game has been promising in a small sample size as he is comfortable handling the ball and shoots well enough to punish defenses when left open on the perimeter.
6’5” ’26 Khamari Turner (Overtime Grind/Chapman)
Turner is a strong-framed forward that has a solid skillset and rapidly improving footwork for his size. He has obvious appeal thanks to his size, strength, and consistency. Defensively, he does a good job of walling up and forcing opponents to shoot over him. He’s also an outstanding rebounder that’s always in the right position and never seems to allow himself to get boxed out. He has a low-maintenance approach to the game and is a consistent double-double threat. Should be one to watch as he continues to grow and develop.
