Just because the LIVE period is over in April, doesn’t mean that Phenom Hoops is stopping their coverage, as we are bringing you a ton of post-event coverage as well throughout the coming weeks.  Let’s dive into a few players and teams that we saw at the event, as we shed light on players that performed well throughout.

Wilmington Excel

2024 6’0 Joshua Helms – Helms is an under-the-radar type player that really showcased how effective of a weapon he can be on the court.  He finished the event leading his team to a 3-1 overall record and averaging nearly 24 points per game.  The 6’0 guard was able to be effective in a variety of ways, whether it was knocking down shots from three or with his mid-range shot, or he was able to make plays off the bounce, get to the line, and showcase his touch when getting inside the defense. He continues to shine on the big stage, and has done so consistently on the Phenom Hoops platform.

What has been said in the past:

“Consistently enjoy the patient PG play of 2024 Josh Helms (Wilmington Excel), will work a set over and over again to get the right looks, keeps a tight handle under pressure and uses his fakes and jabs when squaring up defenders.”

“6’0 2024 Josh Helms a good job running the show today. Quick, paint touch guard. Has the ability to create for himself and teammates.”

2024 6’5 Aidan Davies – Davis is another prospect that excelled for Wilmington Excel, as he finished the event averaging 16.5 points per game.  Davies is one that continues to stand out with his versatility as an offensive weapon and how he can consistently apply scoring pressure on the court.  He brings good size to the table, was effective all around the basket, and really battled throughout the event.  Davies was part of the dynamic duo for Wilmington Excel throughout the weekend.
