2019 Cory Richards
Cory Richards clearly understands the balance between academics and athletics. More importantly, he understands hard work and putting in the time to be successful in both areas. One theme is constant with Cory and that can be best summed up in our Indy Top 80 evaluation when we stated, “Cory gives maximum effort from the opening tip to the final whistle. He is a solid player, all around and does what it takes to help his team win. Cory plays both ends with a great motor. He does all of the little things on the court. He fit in on any team.”
When you read the above evaluation and see that Cory sports an impressive 3.85 GPA, you come to understand who he is as a person and player. For Franklin Community HS, he averages 12 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 2.3 APG, and 2.8 SPG. He’s the ultimate team player and gets involved in all aspects of the game. Currently, Franklin Community HS is 6-4 and 3-0 in the Mid-State Conference and the team’s current success can be directed back toward Cory.
For Cory Richards, team success is more important than individual success. He plays hard and is willing to be the team’s leader by leading by example. Only a sophomore, Cory definitely has a bright future ahead.
