2025 Tre McKinnon (Team Charlotte 16U)
Tre McKinnon boasts a level of athleticism that I have, quite literally, only seen in eventual collegiate athletes. McKinnon plays with a very rare blend of athleticism and discipline that allows him to contribute in every contest, despite his scoring output. I was most impressed today with how he challenged shots at the rim, especially in transition. So impressed with how he’s refined his jumper.
2025 Carson Evans (Team Charlotte 16U)
Coming off of injury, Carson Evans showed absolutely no fear and will give coaches no choice but to take notice of how hard he plays from start to finish. Evans competes with a seemingly never-ending desire to attack. Opposing defenders much match the energy that Evans provides to avoid being constantly blown by, as well as being stagnated by Evans’ defense.
2025 Tyree White (CC Elite 2024)
One of the absolute best point guards in the entire event, Tyree White embodies many of the characteristics a true lead guard should look to develop. White is patient with excellent vision and IQ. He responds well to defensive pressure, and finds open guys, seemingly at a moment’s notice. White’s reclassification into the 2025 class will certainly hold him amongst the most talented 2025 guards in the state. Played at Sun Valley prior to reclassifying, where he was a constant focus of opposing team’s gameplans.
2026 Korie Corbett (Carolina Rebels SC Hunter)
On a team buzzing with exceptional size and length, Corbett stands out as arguably the most talented. Corbett is an intriguing freshman guard with eye-popping size, length, and strength for his age, standing around 6’4. Corbett was comfortable in all areas offensively this afternoon, showing he can both score the ball from a variety of areas, as well as facilitate.
2026 Elton Smith (Carolina Rebels SC Hunter)
Elton Smith jumps off the page as one of the more physically equipped 2026’s I have seen in North Carolina altogether. In the present day, Smith has the physique and presence of a high school senior, standing somewhere north of 6’8. He serves as an excellent interior target given his hands and overall assertion for the basketball. Looking to him to remain a constant commodity throughout the entirety of his high school playing career.
2024 Iverson King (Team Charlotte 17U)
Iverson appeared to be one of the more well-rounded, college ready 2024’s of the entire day. Showed a variety of ways in which he can score within this team’s offense. King’s ability to initiate offense from the elbow is a noteworthy gift, as he showed a number of ways to impact the game offensively from either elbow. Loved his defensive engagement today as well.
