It is hard to play on the EYBL and go unnoticed, but that is what happened with Mike Wynn. This past summer he played on the 17 level of Nike’s EYBL with the Albany City Rocks program. Wynn was not a starter, however through his 10 minutes of play each game he was efficient shooting 51% from the field averaging 5 points.

Wynn is an incredibly tough player. He plays with a chip on his shoulder, taking pride in doing the tough guy stuff like rebounding his position and playing lock down defense. Wynn, a junior at Liberty Heights in Charlotte, NC, stands 6’6” with long arms and weighing in at a sturdy 200 pounds.

After his play at Phenom’s National Showcase this November, where he scored 29 points winning game MVP, National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw wrote, “Wynn is a 3-level shooting guard. He plays with a major chip on his shoulder as he is a very good on ball defender and rebounder at his position. Wynn is already a full qualifier, and will be a showcase type player on the Grind Session this school year. He is reinventing his recruitment after moving down south and it is quickly taking on a high major feel. He will be “the man” on this team, and he is ready to step out into the spotlight.”

Wynn is currently sitting on offers from Florida Atlantic and Siena. However he is playing game in and game out against the likes of Gary Trent Jr, Paul Scruggs, Deandre Ayton, and other top players. He is consistently winning game MVPs and producing high level winning plays.

Watch closely as his recruitment is just about to take off.
