2027 Cruz Miller (Carolina Premier)

Out of all the players I saw this weekend, Miller is the player I watched the most prior to this weekend. An impressive talent, Cruz shows elite movement and his two-way instincts shined this weekend. He uses his length and quick reflexes to poke the ball free from opposing ball-handlers, and seems to always be a threat to score. Potentially an instant contributor at the Varsity level.

2028 Ayo Awosanya (Carolina Heights 2028)

Awosanya was a mature wing/forward that acted as an excellent connector on a team full of talent. Awosanya handled a bulk of this team’s rebounding responsibilities, initiating multiple fastbreaks. With a clear motor and fairly mature frame for a slim 7th grader, I believe Ayo’s most translatable skill at the moment is his ability to defend a multitude of positions both along the perimeter as, as well as in the paint.

2027 Jaden Cole (Save Sports White)

Cole had one of the nicer builds at the combo guard slot, paired with a steady game. Cole plays at his own pace, and gets to the paint when attacking close outs. Converts free throws and impresses with his poise at the moment. Curious to see how he progresses over time.

2028 Logan Gurley (Carolina Heights 2028)

One of the more dominant interior forces I saw this weekend, Gurley is a strong, low-post big that uses his large frame to create space in the low post. His confidence is evident when he has a smaller defender on his back, calling out for the ball time and time again. He’s a difficult cover for teams without legitimate length along the interior. Showed some comfort handling the ball as well, giving his team another transition threat.

2027 Elijah Major (Palmetto City Hurricanes 2027 Reuss)

Another well-built guard with what may be the most transferable game to the varsity level on this roster.  Major fights downhill and gets into the lane as well, a constant for this team riddled with size. Out of all the players on this roster, Major may also be the most prepared to defend guards at the high school level given his build and athleticism.
