All over the country, there are young prospects that are making names for themselves. But there are a few young prospects that have last names that might sound a little familiar to basketball fans. Many already know Bronny and Bryce James, as their father is now the NBA’s All-Time leading scorer. But we have a few other names that you might recognize and should be players you will want to monitor as they have bright futures ahead of them.
2026 6’4 Alijah Arenas (Chatsworth)
The son of former NBA veteran Gilbert Arenas, Alijah Arenas should be a name you start hearing about a lot more nationally with what he has shown early on in his high school career. Just like his father did in the NBA, Alijah is putting up impressive numbers as a freshman at Chatsworth high school in California. The 6’4 prospect is averaging over 30 points per game, eight rebounds, and two assists, as he is thriving and showing how effective he can be as a scorer.
2026 6’6 Tajh Ariza (St. Bernard)
The last night should certainly sound familiar, as freshman Tajh Ariza is the son of longtime NBA veteran Trevor Ariza. The 6’6 prospect certainly brings an enticing skillset and size early on, as schools aren’t wasting any time in offering the young man; schools like USC, UCLA, and others have already extended offers his way. He continues to show his versatility and scoring power from so many levels early on.
2025 6’3 Kiyan Anthony (Luhi)
Kiyan, the son of Carmelo Anthony, has been making waves as of late as he recently announced he would be transferring to Long Island Lutheran, giving the program yet another tremendous talent. The 6’3 prospect continues to show his ability to create and knock down shots, and use his size to impact the game in a variety of other ways. He already holds an offer from Syracuse and is a Top-100 caliber player.
2024 Jase Richardson/ 2026 Jaxon Richardson (Bishop Gorman)
Two of the top players in each of their classes, and the sons of former NBA player Jason Richardson, Jase and Jaxon are two names you might have already heard about. Jase is one that plays big, understands how to create space, and does a nice job in scoring from multiple levels; he already holds multiple offers from around the country. Jaxon is a rising prospect that plays hard, with tremendous energy, can be an effective scorer, and rebounds well. He already holds offers and is just a freshman.
