Phenom Hoops wanted to recognize a huge accomplishment in the state of North Carolina recently.  Back on December 12th, Greenfield’s head coach Rob Salter was able to secure his 600th win, as Coach Salter has been able to rack up the wins and compete for championships throughout his tenure.

Though a little bit late on the recognition, this is an accomplishment that can’t go unnoticed.  On December 12th, Greenfield was able to secure an impressive win at home against Trinity Christian, 64-58, helping Coach Salter reach a huge milestone.

If you have been around North Carolina high school basketball, you certainly know what Coach Salter brings to the table and what he has been able to do for high school basketball in NC.  He has coached some incredible talent that has been able to play at the highest of levels, and his winning ways should only continue down the road.

When talking to Coach Salter, here is what he had to say about reaching the milestone:

“I love to coach for the kids,” he told Phenom Hoops. “The landmark is not that big of a deal to me. But what it does mean is that I have coached some wonderful young men during my career that I love dearly and they have made the coach look good.”

From all of us at Phenom Hoops, we wanted to send a huge congrats to Coach Salter and bring recognition to his accomplishment, but we have a feeling he will be achieving a lot more throughout his career very quickly as a head coach!
