Zi’Kei Wheeler Guard 2023 6’3 – JM Robinson
Wheeler is a guard that can do a little bit of everything. He is a levelheaded, mindful player that plays his own game. Although there was some back in forth in the game, he remained composed through it all. Following the double technical warnings on two players (not him), he came out and scored on the next two possessions. He is effective on offense, being able to shoot mid-range jumpers while still being able to attack the basket. He has the size to clean up around the rim, getting rebounds and putbacks. He adds the leadership you need for an offense and defense.
Isaiah Tate 5’11 2023 – Concord Academy
Isaiah Tate is a 5’11 Guard in the 2023 class. Tate is the balance to the Concord Academy offense. He levels the floor to start the offense and plays a clean game. He doesn’t shy away from going down low to get rebounds and effectively putting the shot back up. He is aggressive when going to the rim and finishing through contact. He can shoot the occasional jumper or 3-pointer when he isn’t driving to the rim.
Zion Walker 6’2 2024 – The Burlington School
Walker’s game is unique. He made big-time plays in big-time situations. Even though The Burlington School fell short, he played extremely well. He shot the buzzer-beater jumper to enter the second quarter. Later in the fourth quarter, he tied the game with seconds left to go. He facilitates the floor on offense being able to create shots for himself. He causes havoc on the defensive end of the floor by locking down defenders and not being afraid to take a charge. He finishes around the rim and is aggressive getting there. Overall, a solid player on both ends of the court.
Bryce Cash 6’6 2023 – Carmel Christian
Cash plays with intensity on the floor. He came out early showing his ability to drive and finish around the rim while getting rebounds on both ends of the floor. He can play defense but run back down the court before anyone realizes. He was able to get a wide-open 3-pointer, being that he runs the floor well. He is a big hustle player; he is everywhere on the court when he is out there. He follows his shot and isn’t afraid to get his hands in there for a jump ball. A solid player all-around that adds senior leadership to the floor bringing momentum and positive energy.
Riley Allenspach 6’11 2023 – Providence Day
Allenspach is an absolute force on both ends of the floor. He can get rebounds and block shots on the defensive end. He can then come down and shoot the long or mid-range jumper. He has a versatile game for his height. He finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds for today’s game.
