Phenom Hoops brings our readers some of the latest recruiting news going around that you may have missed, as we look at a few 2025 prospects that not have been making some recent visits but another has added a big offer. We recently spoke with 2025 Zander Carter, 2025 Hudson Greer, and 2025 Ty Price about some of the latest recruiting news going on with them. Check out what they had to say

2025 Zander Carter’s visit to Ohio State was “awesome”

2025 Zander Carter, a prospect from Ashland HS in Kentucky, recently made a visit to Ohio State when the Buckeyes took on Rutgers in what ended up being an absolute thriller. Phenom Hoops spoke with Carter about the visit to learn more about his thoughts and his developing relationship with the program.

“It was a great, awesome win and ended it all off with a heck of a game-winner,” Carter old Phenom Hoops.  “I just went down for the game and talked to Coach Diebler after the game because we had team practice right after school.  The atmosphere, the coaching, and just overall game experience in the home arena stood out.”

“Actually, I just started to build a relationship,” Carter said.  “That was the first time I’ve been up to campus and the first time I’ve been able to talk to the coach.  He didn’t have too long, he was running around doing a million things at once, so we just talked a little bit about the game, the last-second shot, and what Big-10 basketball is about.”

Carter holds offers from Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee Tech, and West Virginia Tech as of right now early in his recruitment, but he has been on unofficial visits to Ohio State, Akron, Marshall, and Morehead State, and plans to go to Eastern Kentucky in early January.

2025 Hudson Greer adds another offer to his list, this time from UCLA

2025 Hudson Greer is a player we have highlighted and talked about before (Click Here).  And it seems that he is off to a great start when it comes to his recruitment, as he just added another offer from a big-time program.

UCLA is the latest school to offer Greer, now joining Texas, Saint Louis, Kansas State, Texas Tech, and SMU. And the offer from the Bruins is a big one, as it could be a chance for Greer to come back home.

“What I think about UCLA is that it is a great opportunity to come back home since that is originally where I’m from,” Greer said.  “I love the way that the coach talked to me and told me immediately how they would use me and targeting a visit with me once my season is done.  It is a great place but also in terms of basketball, the most winning program ever and you can’t deny greatness when you see it.”

2025 Ty Price enjoying recent visits; more coming up

Back in Kentucky, we recently spoke with 2025 Ty Price from Butler County, who has been hitting the road quite a bit as of late, taking in multiple unofficial visits.  The 2025 guard has been putting up outstanding numbers this season, averaging nearly 34 points per game to start the season. While busy on the court, he has also been hitting the road, visiting a few schools as of late and he has more coming up as Phenom Hoops learned about the latest.

The most recent trip he took was to St. Louis, a visit that went well he said.  “I was at the game at St. Louis,” he said.  “The visit went well.  I spoke to the coaches, and I just briefly got to say hello to Coach Ford.  They are coming down to see me soon.”  St. Louis has been in touch about Price since this summer and it looks like it won’t be slowing down any time soon.

Price also recently made a visit to Indiana as well before his most recent visit, where he had this to say about it. “They have a great atmosphere there and they are basketball crazy, which I love.  They have great facilities as well. I spent a lot of time with Coach Hulls, and I got to spend time with Coach Woodson before and after the game.”

The visits won’t stop there, as Price mentioned that he also has unofficial visits to Mississippi State on December 17th, and Oklahoma on December 31st, and they are finalizing a day to head to Memphis.
