I continue to be amazed by the talent that goes under the radar with such a program as DME Academy. They have proven themselves to produce some intriguing talent, much like they did last year. And this year, it looks to be the same as we will be bringing you a few players that college coaches should be looking at a lot more.
One player that we got a chance to view for the first time was 2023 6’6 Nathan Ojukwu, and he is one that could see his recruitment pick up if he continues to play at the level we saw. Sporting good size at 6’6, big-time athleticism, and the ability to make impactful plays around the court, Ojukwu is one to start taking a look at more.
When you first look at his game, you immediately notice his athleticism, finishing and throwing it down impressively at the rim and with power. But he also gave us glimpses of his ability to knock down shots in catch-and-shoot situations, can finish through contact and impacts the boards on both ends. He also uses his sturdy frame to be able to defend and battle against multiple positions.
Ojukwu was terrific out in transition and also did a nice job in creating, battling against opponents, and making smart decisions. There is a lot to like about this young man’s game and with no offers on the table, he should quickly be on the radar for college programs.
