The talent in the Class of 2025 in South Carolina will certainly be fun to watch in the coming years and 2025 Jordan Watford is a name that we have spoken about numerous times already.  A player that we believe will be a priority for many programs, Watford recently made a visit to an SEC school in Tennessee, as the coaching staff has expressed early in his way.

He spoke to Phenom Hoops about his trip, what he was able to see and do, and the interest level the Vols have expressed early on.

“It was good,” Watford told Phenom Hoops.  “Everything from the staff, the facility, the campus, and the players, it was all good.”

Watford was able to take in a football game at Tennessee, as the Vols faced off against Tennessee-Martin.  But he also had a chance to check out more of the facilities including the athletic dorm to see what the rooms and all were like, as well as getting a chance to watch some film with the team, an experience he thought was very cool.

He also had a chance to sit down and talk with the staff, mostly with Coach Gainey, but he also had a chance to meet the rest of the staff as well.

“Nothing to specific,” Watford said when asked what he was able to talk about with the staff. “Just when I watched them practice and film, just things like the differences between this and high school, the type of sets and how they like to play, and other stuff like that. Then, of course, asking me how I liked everything.”

Tennessee has expressed interest and the staff mentioned that they would like to see more of his game this season.

Right now, Watford’s next visit will be to Clemson on November 19th.
