2026 Tre Raymon is certainly a familiar name around the region and is looking to be one of the premier prospects in his class for the state of South Carolina. At his size and length, to go along with his skill set, Raymon is going to be a player you will want to watch. He stands around 6’7, moves well, and shows that he can be effective from the perimeter with his shot, but also create and finish over defenders. And he will only continue to add more to his game and get stronger, which makes him even more intriguing.

Phenom Hoops spoke with Raymon about his preparation in being a leader at South Pointe high school, how he is working and developing his game, and his most recent news of adding another big offer to his list. See what was said.

Preparing for the season:

“I’m excited about how I have to step up this year and be the leader and the guy my teammates count on. I’m also excited about how I’m going to play with emotion this year and show it.  These past few months, I’ve been working on getting stronger and quicker, along with more explosive.  I always had the skill set, so this summer I wasn’t as strong now. I’m going to be stronger and now I’m way better with in-game situations.”

Mindset heading into the season:

“My mindset this year is to prove that I’m ready to be a leader and ready to make a run to states honestly because a lot of people put us as the underdogs and I love it because I feel like that is what I live for, proving people wrong. I wouldn’t care what other people’s opinions were but this is my city putting my team as underdogs and I take it personally. I want to show that I can score the ball whenever I want. I also want to show that I worked hard to do the things I do instead of just saying I’m tall because you just don’t wake up out of bed and be able to shoot or dribble, it takes hours in the gym to develop that muscle memory.

Another offer on the table:

The young prospect from South Carolina announced that he had added another offer to his list early on, as Mississippi State offered Raymon, now joining Milwaukee and FIU as well.

“It was very exciting and it made me feel like all the hard work is paying off but at the same time, I had to remember ‘yeah ok, it is paying off but I got to keep working because I haven’t met my max potential,’ but at the same time, I feel like there is no max potential because in my eyes, whenever I achieve something, I want to keep my foot on the gas.  After all, there is never an ending point in the grind.”

His coach had informed him about the offer from the Bulldogs, and Raymon admits that he doesn’t know much about he program yet, just that they have been in touch with his coach.
