What Was Recently Said: There’s an abundance of talent within the PSB Larkin squad, and Marsh is as valuable as anyone. At this point, he’s probably underrated within the bigger scheme of things. Marsh is a sharp ball-handler and playmaker with an excellent penetration sense. He’s smart, athletic, and displays nice balance as a two-way floor general. Marsh is a quality defender and excellent in the open floor, especially with the ball in his hands.
(Rick Lewis): The sub six-foot scoring guard is simply electric on both ends of the court. Marsh has the ability to hit the occasional 3-pointer, knock down the midrange and is superb at attacking the rim utilizing his athleticism and leaping ability. Marsh has tremendous “hang time” and body control where he finished repeatedly in the lane. In addition, Marsh has unbelievable leaping ability and made a spectacular transition block that led to a huge momentum swing allowed Hickory Ridge to get back into the game. Marsh finished with a team high 17 points, countless rebounds and made one hustle play after another.
What To Expect:
After a brief departure from North Carolina, Jordan Marsh returns and continues to look like a solidified scholarship-level prospect. He’s shown some improvements as a three-point shooter, but has still clearly maintained his identity as a tough, rugged, athletic downhill lead guard with the ability to fill it up offensively. Marsh is excellent at getting downhill, attacking the teeth of the defense, and applying pressure at the rim. He’s a crafty ball-handler who can finish below or above the rim with relative ease. Marsh displays great feel, change of direction, and overall body control when looking to attack. He’s a useful passer who understands how to locate the open man at a solid rate. Marsh is also a pesky defender with the necessary blend of quickness, toughness, and general instincts to overwhelm his assignment on both ends of the floor. Expect Marsh to warrant attention from a variety of different programs.
