Florida is the latest school to offer the big man from The Rock, as 2024 Sammie Yeanay announced on Thursday that the Gators had offered him.
“Coach Hartman started the conversation and was telling me how they don’t just offer players, you have to fit into their system and program,” Yeanay told Phenom Hoops. “He said that I was a great fit for their program. Then handed the phone to Coach Golden where he told me he was offering me a scholarship.”
Yeanay recently went on a visit to Florida at the start of July, where he had this to say about his visit back on July 2 with Phenom Hoops:
“My visit at Florida was a great experience,” he replied. “The coaches showed love and told me how much they would love to have me in their program. I had conversations with some of the players and they also gave me props and advice.”
And just a few weeks later, Florida offered Yeanay as they now join a list that includes Alabama, Jacksonville, North Florida, and Texas Tech.
As far as other interests coming in for the 2024 forward, he mentioned Kansas, USC, Tennessee, Missouri, Georgia, and Arkansas have all expressed interest as well. And he is planning on going to visit Texas Tech, Duke, and North Carolina in the future.
