We’ve seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a “Getting to Know” series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today’s edition will take a closer look at Tyler Ledwell of Quality Education.

We’ve seen Ledwell in various different settings, previously stating, Although the roster has a variety of well-rounded guards, Ledwell is someone who college coaches should start noting prior to the upcoming summer. He’s another tough, smart, athletic, all-around piece who can do a little bit of everything within the confines of the Pharaohs’ structure. He’s an efficient scoring option from all levels, but doesn’t require the ball to make an impact. Ledwell also provides a reliable rebounding and defensive presence. Already productive, expect him to take a visible step forward over the next twelve months.”

Since then, Ledwell has only continued to solidify his status as a prospect worthy of attention from college coaches. He’s a big, strong, fairly well-rounded guard/wing with the combination of size, toughness, and team-first approach to cause problems for opponents on both ends of the floor. Ledwell absorbs contact well as a defender or when attacking the basket and finishing. He also shoots the ball at a respectable percentage from the perimeter and can assume some playmaking duties if necessary. Ledwell is a reliable defender with solid IQ and athleticism. He’s a useful rebounder with the understanding of how to push the break in transition. Folks should already know about Ledwell, but his recruitment should definitely take another step over the coming months—as he definitely has the ability to play at the next level.
