2023 Randall Pettus (Charlotte Aces): Pettus has had himself a solid outing on Day 1 at the Phenom MDC. In Game 2 though, was really impressed with his ability to create with the dribble and get to his spots, rising up with confidence and showing his mid-range game. A guard with good athleticism and touch on his shot.
2024 Paul McNeil (Richmond Jammers): Though it was a tough Game 2 for the team overall, McNeil continues to show how much of a mismatch he can be on the court. With his 6’6 frame, his ability to rise up over defenders, knock down threes, and when he is assertive in getting downhill, he is tough to stop. He led his team in a tough battle to end his day.
2024 Camden Edmonds (NC Spartans Graves): Edmonds simply went off! The young man scored any way he wanted to, whether it was inside the arc, in the paint, or knocking down shots from behind the arc. He was unstoppable in his game to end the day; a guard that has the length, active on the boards, moves well without the ball, and finds openings on the court. Put on a scoring clinic with 35 points.
2024 Christian Andrews (Upward Stars): It was great to see the young guard back in action again this weekend. We have seen his ability to score the ball, but Andrews also showed his ability to help run the show, create and take advantage of mismatches, score and get into the paint, but also get paint touches and kick out. Andrews has really improved his overall feel as a point guard; well-rounded game on Day 1.
2025 Tristan Thompson (Upward Stars): Thompson is another young prospect that you will want to get to know and monitor. Thompson already has the size that intrigues you and it seems that he is starting to expand his game. As a young prospect, it looks more like he operated down low but he showed more of his mid-range game while also being active on the boards as well very athletic for his age.
2023 Khalil Arnold (Upward Stars): The Upward Stars 17u program is loaded with some talent to really watch out for but Arnold was one of the most consistent prospects on their team, especially with his ability to get to his spots, stretch the defense, and showcase his confident outside shot-making as a guard. Smooth and fluid shot-maker.
