2024 6’5 Jayden “Juke” Harris is a name that many might be familiar with already but there are still several that aren’t aware of Harris’ game. But it was only over a year ago when Phenom Hoops introduced everyone to Harris; at that time, many didn’t know about the sophomore guard that was then at West Rowan.
We then saw him once again shortly after at the Phenom 757, where we had this to say:
“Jayden “Juke” Harris should be one that fans have down to monitor. Getting my first glance at him not long ago at the Catawba Summer Camp, he continues to bring more attention to his game with his long 6’3 frame and ability to be a scorer. Harris isn’t afraid of bright lights and isn’t afraid to pull the trigger on his outside shot, being a real threat in rising over defenders from three. But he is a crafty guard on the floor in creating opportunities for himself. What intrigues you as well is the potential in his body continuing to grow and fill out. He is one you have to have on your radar for sure.” – Patrick O’Brien in 2021
Now, fast forward to today after a special season at Salisbury and now playing once again with Team Wall, it seems that several other national outlets and fans are catching on to what the 6’5 prospect can do on the court.
We got yet another viewing of Harris at the Battle for NC, where it was quite noticeable that this young man has been putting in the work to expand his game and has only matured as a player. He continues to show his ability to knock down shots from deep and from multiple levels, but he has only continued to add to his offensive capabilities. Harris displayed an excellent feel in finding ways to get to the basket, showcase his smooth feel, use his length to finish over defenders, and hit multiple tough shots. Countless times, this young man has shown the can fill it up and did so once again at the Battle for NC.
Right now, he holds an offer from Western Carolina and then added an offer from Radford, but one has to believe after a strong summer and upcoming high school season, more schools will be coming his way.
