The Phenom Grassroots TOC is this weekend in Rock Hill/Fort Mill, as it is the first LIVE Period with Phenom Hoops this season. The talent pool runs deep throughout and we want to give college coaches a leg up on who to watch and who will be in action. Here are a few players to check out for each team, presented by the head coach.
Smith Elite Basketball
Player Name: Zyan Hager
Class: 2024
Position: Shooting guard
Game Review: A 6’2 shooting guard who can knock down the long ball consistently. Solid on ball defender who was selected all region at Catawba Ridge High School last year.
Player Name: Caden Giles
Class: 2024
Position: Forward
Game Review: A 6’6 forward with a nice soft touch around the rim. Great rim protector who is a rebounding machine.
Player Name: Chandler Kennedy
Class: 2025
Position: Guard
Game Review: This 5’6 speedy guard gets to his spots to run the offense easily and is a solid on ball defender. The 2025 guard plays up and is always ready to run the show from the point guard position.
Player Name: Malikai Veres
Class: 2024
Position: Small Forward
Game Review: The 6’2 small forward plays bigger than his size. He is very active around the rim and finishes strong inside. He will do whatever is needed for the team to win and is unselfish as they come.
Player Name: Landon Kurt
Class: 2024
Position: Guard
Game Review: Standing at 6’2, Kurtz is an extreme athlete who runs the floor well and plays above the rim. He has an athletic frame which allows him to be a string on ball defender and contests shits at the rim.
