2023 Taylor Parker Hickory Grove

She is a 6’1 or 6’2 athletic wing that can handle the ball and score from multiple levels. She is capable of catching on the wing and reading the defense to make a good play. She was doing everything in her power to make sure that she was not going to be denied. After she blew by her first defender, she attracted multiple defenders and was still able to finish at the rim. I am interested to see how she develops this season in regards to becoming more physical and increasing the range on her shot.

2023 Jordyn Latter Providence Day

First impression of Jordyn is that she does all the little things that every coach preaches about for their team. She is tough, physical, and doesn’t back down from guarding the other teams’ best player. Her on-ball defense is really good because of how she can dictate where the ball handler goes and uses her strength to get them off balance. When she drives to the basket, she goes full force and is able to finish with contact. Diving for loose balls, crashing for rebounds, and priding herself on defense is what makes her a fierce competitor.

2023 Chandler Brooks Providence Day

Chandler is a pg that can take over a game at any point in time. She knows when it is her time to score and when to initiate actions for her teammates to score. She has a high IQ and her ability to handle the ball in multiple situations makes it harder for teams to slow her down. She plays at her own pace and changes speeds to create her own advantage. She is a taller guard that is physical; so she has no problem using her body to punish smaller guards so she can finish at the rim or the free-throw line.

2025 Zhykera Brown Legacy Early College

When you see this girl play in person and then realize that she is only a freshman making the plays that she does, it will blow your mind. She is a taller guard that seeks and can handle contact. Her ball-handling and playmaking abilities show that she has a very high IQ. She reminds me of the point guard from Maryland, Ashley Owusu. Zhykera feeds off of isolation settings because she has the skills to break down her initial defender and finish at the rim multiple ways. It is very hard for teams to keep her out of the lane because of her ability to change speeds and her handle is tight. I am interested to see this kid continue to get better and I can most definitely see her playing at the next level.
