School: Hayesville
Division: 1A
Conference 1A Conference 43

The Yellowjackets were one of the top teams to look at in the 1A Division in North Carolina and they are living up to those expectations early on this season as they sit at 13-0. And one can’t say it has always been easy, as Hayesville has won in numerous ways.

On the season, Hayesville is averaging nearly 69 points per game offensively but have only been giving up 41 points per game to their opponents. But they have had some tough battles this season, including an overtime win against Tallulah Falls (GA), an overtime win against Swain County, and hard-fought victories against Murphy and Robbinsville. But yet, they remain undefeated on the season and looking to stay that way throughout the rest of the season, in hopes of a championship.

They are led by 2022 guard Kolbe Ashe who is committed to Palm Beach Atlantic and he continues to put up some outstanding numbers.  2022 6’6 Jake McTaggart is another senior leader for this program as well, both of which are helping lead the way.

The Yellowjackets have been quite successful under head coach Michael Cottrell, as they have recorded several 20+ win seasons under him and they look to be on their way to another one.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out Hayesville, you may want to check them out soon rather than later.
