There were several incredible and memorable performances at the Phenom Summer Havoc. Whether it was teams or players, it was certainly fun to watch.  But one player continued to capture our eyes with his impressive outburst scoring the ball in every game he played.

2022 Cole Sinclair for the Durham Hurricanes put on a show throughout the four days in Rock Hill.  He looked like a man on a mission and put his team on his back, as he had memorable performance after memorable performance.

In the games that he played, Sinclair had scoring outputs of 40, 31, 34, 36, 41, 20, and 35, ending his weekend averaging 34 points per game.  He did in all ways on the floor, knocking down outside shots, hitting multiple threes and showing his range, creating for himself off the dribble, penetrating the defense and finishing strong/through contact, and got to the line.   Now doing a post-grad year at Winston Salem Christian, Sinclair put people on notice this weekend at the Summer Havoc and college coaches should be paying attention.

Here are just a few things that were said over the last four days:

  • 2022 Cole Sinclair (Durham Hurricanes) has been such a dominant force on the court. Put up some impressive numbers on Day 1, averaging nearly 30ppg and doing so once again on Day 2.
  • 2022 Cole Sinclair (Durham Hurricanes) has been absolutely bullying his defenders!  Strong guard with quick feet has already converted a lot of tough finishes at the basket
  • 6’0 ’22 Cole Sinclair (Durham Hurricanes) continues to lead the charge for this group. Lethal shooter with vision and nice change of pace. Showing leadership.

Sinclair certainly left an impression on us and should have opened some eyes for college coaches, as he is showing that his production on the court is translatable to the next level.  Yes, he can score the ball really well but he has also shown that he can be that facilitator and get others involved, as well as make an impact on the court in an array of ways.

Make sure you check Sinclair out more with the Durham Hurricanes this summer and at Winston Salem Christian.
