Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

First, I would like to thank God for this journey. I thank my parents and family for their sacrifices. I would like to thank my coaches at Carroll Middle, Millbrook High, and Hargrave Military Academy. Thanks to everyone who put time in training and working out with me. I will always be a Garner Road Bulldog. Special thank you to Dwayne West, David West, Trevor West, JD Lewis Center, and their staff for investing in me and believing in me. Thank you to the college coaches that were recruiting me and whom I have formed relationships with during this process. After talking it over with my family and prayer, I decided to commit to Arizona State University. Coaches Bobby Hurley, Anthony Coleman, and the rest of the ASU staff, thank you and ForksUp!!
What will Felton bring:
What a get for Arizona State. One thing you will get with Big Will is a hard worker, as Felton has proven time and time again that he simply produces and plays hard. At Millbrook, Felton anchored the post with his feel, touch, and strong frame, only getting better from when we first watched him. He isn’t the flashiest but is exactly what you want, a prospect that moves well, gets on the boards, works hard in the paint, and can score with physicality.

“Will Felton was impressive all weekend. He was by far the most productive post player at the event. He averaged 20+ points and 10+ rebounds over four games. Will is extremely physical, strong, and a beast on the boards. On the offensive glass, he wedges his opponents under the basket to create second chance scoring opportunities. He does a great job of sealing defenders and getting deep post position. When he gets deep touches, it is very difficult to stop him. He uses his strong frame to hold off defenders or power through contact. He showed the ability to knock down the right hook. The next step for him will be able to consistently make those shots over length. Will also was efficient at the foul line going 8-9 from the stripe and finishing with 29 points in their game versus Tea Marie. He also stepped out and made a few 10 to 15-foot jumpers at the high post. Defensively, Will plays hard. If he gets switched onto perimeter defenders in ball screen situations, he moves well and is able to stay in front of ball handlers and force contested jumpers. “Felton has good length and a strong body. His best attribute on the floor is his ability to rebound. As a below the rim big man, he really has the mentality of, “go get the ball.” He did a good job drawing contact around the basket, using the rim to help ward off rim protectors, and he made his free throws.
