It certainly hasn’t been the summer many had hoped but we were able to get a chance to have travel ball this season at Phenom Hoops, with constant action going on in the gyms of South Carolina. With the season winding down for many, let’s start taking a look back at the bigger picture and see which players should see their stock rise after an impressive season. This will be a several part series, with several more coming your way.

Patrick Wessler (CC Elite) – 2022/ 7’0

Already known as a big-time talent, Wessler took advantage of playing in the spotlight each time his team stepped on the floor.  And he was able to embrace very well.  Wessler is a true center that continues to improve with his overall feel for the game, showing great touch around the rim, stepping out more with his shot, and continuing to be an effective rebounder and shot blocker.

It is why more schools are starting to recruit and offer him.  Wessler should continue to see his stock rise, especially with him continuing to learn under Jeff McInnis at Combine Academy.

Kadyn Dawkins (Cobras 2021) – 2021/ 5’9

Really do think more schools should be looking at Dawkins.  This is a point guard that simply produces each time he steps out on the court.  We already know that this young man can score the ball all over the court, continuing to dominate his opponents and finishing in an array of ways.  He has a solid combination of IQ, toughness, and speed on the court, and showed that in multiple events this summer with Phenom.  What you also have to like his with his size, he is able to make plays and passes that many can not make, showing that he can be a playmaker for others.

Robert Dillingham (Game Changers) – 2023/6’1

What can you say about Dillingham… he was absolutely off the charts this summer and honestly, didn’t see anyone slowing him down on the court.  Dillingham showed that he is one of the best scorers in the country for his class, as he was almost guaranteed to score 30+ points a game, including a 56-point performance in Rock Hill.  Dillingham scored anywhere on the court and even though he will be considered one of the top prospects in his class, his stock and recruitment really picked up with multiple offers coming in this summer (and more should follow).

Jameen Moore (Game Changers) – 2023/5’9

Moore has been a new name for Phenom Hoops this summer but certainly one that has earned our eyes.  Moore is a small, quick guard that showed the he can really control the game with his speed.  But he also consistently scored the ball from all three levels.  He used his speed to get out in transition and score, but also showed his range knocking down three’s consistently.  Moore’s ability to handle and initiate the offense but also be aggressive and score was impressive, really being a dynamic duo with Dillingham and then again on his own this summer.

Avion Pinner (Garner Road 3SSB 16u) – 2022/6’7

We got a few chances to watch Pinner on the court and one can see it is only a matter of time for more offers to come his way but he improved his stock with us at Phenom Hoops.  Pinner is a 6’7, mobile forward that can simply be a mismatch.  He is athletic on the court, showcase his ability to play more with the ball in his hands, and one that is comfortable to operate from inside and out.  Pinner also made a tremendous impression on the defensive end and on the boards.

Will Felton (Garner Road 3SSB 17u) – 2021/ 6’9

Felton has continued to find success on the court this summer and his stock continues to rise, with him earning his first ACC offer over the summer.  And more programs could be joining with the production level that he showed this summer.  Felton isn’t flashy… just gets the job done. You know what you are going to get but he has continued to put in the work, as he physically looks great.  With what he continues to show on the court this summer and a year at Hargrave, Felton’s stock could continue to rise with college coaches.
