5’10 ’21 Immanuel Stanback (Charlotte Nets McClary)
Though somewhat undersized, Stanback is a steady ball-handler with a quick first step and the ability to attack the basket. He knocked down multiple jumpers and made his presence felt in transition. Not only did he complement others well, but also showed the ability to take over as needed.
5’9 ’21 Kadyn Dawkins (Cobras 2021)
There is an abundance of talent on this Cobras 2021 roster, but Dawkins is still their clear leader. He’s so smart, quick, and able to highlight a nonstop balance between playmaking and three-level scoring. Dawkins is an exceptional defender, especially for his size, and can force turnovers with relative ease. He utilizes his unique blend of craftiness and lack of size to his advantage when attacking the basket and slicing through defenders.
6’0 ’22 Ladarian McCree (1-Carolina)
It’s easy to get excited about this 1-Carolina squad, and McCree is arguably as impressive as anyone on the roster. He’s incredibly smart and patient, which allows him to effortlessly dictate the offensive action with the ball in his hands. McCree is very crafty, both as a finisher and ball-handler, and can shut down his assignment effectively on defense. He’s simply a well-rounded guard that various college coaches should be pursuing.
6’0 ’21 Aaron Veal (Charlotte Dragons)
After Isaih Golden went down with an injury, Veal rose to the occasion quite seamlessly. He assumed ball-handling responsibilities, created for himself and others, and actively scored the ball from all three levels. He operates well from either backcourt position and does a great job of containing his assignment at the point of attack.
6’6 ’21 Bryson Nesbit (Anthony Morrow Elite)
The big, strong-bodied forward was quite productive throughout this showing, as he was able to do a little bit of everything. Nesbit displayed great energy, rebounding prowess, and a quality amount of skill for his size/position. He moves well for his size and showed various flashes of perimeter skills, especially in transition.
6’1 ’21 Aaron Potter (Lions 2.0)
There is a lot of intrigue on this roster, but arguably no player is more unique than Potter. Despite his strong, sturdy frame, he highlights a lot of skill and the ability to run this team quite effectively. Potter is a quality passer with craftiness as a penetrator. He displays IQ and a pretty strong willingness to setup others whenever possible.
6’7 ’21 Paul Tako (24 Elite)
The 24 Elite squad was quite impressive throughout the weekend, and Tako definitely showcased some flashes on both sides of the ball. He’s a useful interior scorer and passer with the ability to step out and hit the occasional perimeter jumper. Tako utilizes his long, gangly arms to secure rebounds and block shots.
