Name: Elijah Davis
Class: 2021
Height: 6’4
School: Jordan HS

At Jordan high school, 2021 6’4 Elijah Davis is one to really start tracking and keeping an eye on. He possesses great size and a nice blend of productivity and upside. When you watch his film which can be found below, you see that he has really impressive shooting mechanics, getting his feet set, and is always ready for his shot. Davis has a great extension on his shot, showing confidence in being a threat with range. There is no doubt that he can knock down three’s and has the ability to find open spots. However, he also has the ability to put the ball on the deck, create off just a few dribbles and rise up with that same smooth shooting stroke. Davis plays tough and can play through contact when he attacks the rim as well. He plays within the game, not forcing anything and plays with a fantastic IQ and with the ability to read defenses well.

Davis shows that he can get it done on the court and in the classroom, as he has 3.4 GPA as well.

Phenom 150 Evaluation from 2019:

“He’s a big, strong, active forward prospect that causes havoc defensively and knows how to make plays on the glass. Davis can operate in a variety of roles on offense, given his ability to cut, finish inside, or knock down open jumpers. He does a great job of moving without the ball.  Coach Washington on Davis: “Elijah has great size and was our vocal leader today. He defended at a high level and knocked down some big three-pointers. He can work on ball-handling over the next phase of his game. Elijah brought a positive attitude and team-first mentality throughout the day.” Davis did a lot of things well during camp and should emerge as a nice contributor during the upcoming season at Jordan.”

Coach’s Thoughts:

“Elijah Davis!! What can I say about him that people don’t already know'  I will first start with he is a coach’s dream!  Elijah is definitely a student of the game and tries to understand every aspect of it.  When I got him last summer, he brought an energy that was needed for the team, he was the guy that clapped everyone up and pushed his teammates to be their best.  He was my glue guy and he was a defensive leader and wanted the challenge to defend the best player on the court. When it comes to his growth, his ball-handling and shooting needed work and we put a lot of emphasis on that for him.  By the end of the summer he was shooting consistently and was able to get us into transition after grabbing rebounds.   Going into his HS season last year he definitely progressed and became a huge leader for Coach Wallace and contributor. Elijah will make you a believer in his work ethic and his dedication to the game.  There is going to be a lucky program out there that offers him and he will definitely bring a winning dedication to that program!  I am looking forward to seeing his growth this year!” – Reggie Hairston (Team Curry)
