Fred is a ball-handling wizard who can also stick the jumper at all levels and is nearly impossible to contain one on one. Super athletic, with a wiry frame, and explosiveness he can drop defenders with low quick crossovers, starts and stops, and plenty of shiftiness. He’s so good at using positioning, footwork, change of pace, and the ability to look defenders off to get dribble penetration. Possesses natural playmaking skills! I’m really impressed with how low he gets with the dribble and how quickly his handle is. Fred uses crossovers, behind the back dribbles, and has a variety of dribble moves he executes flawlessly but what makes him most dangerous is his use of combo dribble moves. He doesn’t over dribble but he has an impressive variety. Also, his use of hesitations, starts and stops, change of direction is impressive and with his explosiveness, even from a standstill, he is so difficult to defend. He’s really skilled, loads up nicely, great hip turns.
Fred is slippery when attacking the basket and is able to contort this body to split defenders and work around them and uses a long wingspan and great touch to finish shots around the rim. His body control is impeccable! Fred can drive hard left or right off a dribble move and with equal results. He’s an excellent passer and knows how to draw defenders and then make the kick out or drop off pass. He’s able to get to the free-throw line at a good rate. He has a good jump shot with three-point range. Fred can hit the jumper both in catch and shoot scenarios or stepping in off the dribble. He can pull up off the dribble going in either direction and hit the jumper at a good rate. Nice arc and good lift on the jumper. He does a great job finding his teammates and is a reliable ball-handler. On the defensive end, his athleticism and instincts allow him to make plays all over the floor. Solid on the ball, excellent lateral quickness, sound mechanics.
Fred is a competitive, high motor defender who also brings so much to the table offensively and could be a prolific high school scorer. He has a high ceiling! Watch out for him!
