Dayton has a growing relationship with 2021 Nate Santos

Over the weekend, 2021 6’7 guard Nate Santos announced that he received his latest offer from Dayton, now giving him four total offers. The offer from the Flyers intrigued Santos, especially with the reputation the program brings with them both on and off the court.  And the two have been developing a good relationship so far.

“We have a growing relationship,” Santos told Phenom Hoops.  “I’ve talked to them numerous times and they have a great staff.  My teammate from this past year will be at Dayton next year, so we’ve talked about Dayton before.”

The Flyers join TCU, Creighton, and Illinois as far as offers on the table but Santos also said schools like Vanderbilt, California, Georgia, Princeton, Iona, George Washington, and Ole Miss have also reached out recently.

“A lot of schools have really liked my versatility and my ability to score the ball. Also, my potential to achieve a lot more in my game.”

Santos also visited UConn this past season, getting a chance to watch a practice and their game vs. Memphis.

Houston has their eyes on 2021 PF Manissa Biyengui

2021 power forward Manissa Biyengui from West Oaks Academy in Florida announced on Monday that he had received an offer from head coach Kelvin Sampson and the Houston Cougars.  The coaching staff reached out back in December and it that Biyengui impressed throughout the season to secure an offer.

“They were telling me that they like the way I play and Coach Sampson called me and said he would offer me,” Biyengui told Phenom Hoops.  “They like my energy on defense, blocking shots, getting rebounds, and running the floor but they also like how aggressive I am on offense; I like to dunk everything.”

The junior big says Houston has a “good program” and is continuing to work on his game so he can get better.  He also holds offers from Marist, Bryant, and Stony Brook.

2022 Quant’e Berry continues to rack up SEC offers

Bradley Central sophomore Quant’e Berry certainly has the attention of schools around the SEC, adding yet another school to his list of offers.  Berry recently received an offer from Coach Jerry Stackhouse and Vanderbilt, as the Commodores now join the likes of South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Florida as far as SEC programs (he also has an offer from Rhode Island).

“I think Vanderbilt is a great school,” he replied.  “Coach Stackhouse has a very unique defensive system.  They won some major games this year and is a very good team all-around.”

“It has been crazy,” he continued when asked about receiving multiple offers early on.  “Honestly, it just gives me a reason to keep working because now I have to keep these schools interested for two more years.”

As far as his early thoughts on the other SEC offers…

“My mother is a ride or die Gator fan and I’ve always been a fan of Florida.  Texas A&M, I love their style of play and I feel like I could fit into their system.  South Carolina has a team full of players that are willing to do the dirty work.  They have a lot of bigger guards, which is where I think I could fit in there.”

High Point gives 2021 power forward Zereoue Williams his first offer

It is always a special time for a player to receive their first offer and to receive one from a legendary coach like Coach Tubby Smith, it makes it just a little sweeter.

2021 6’8 Zereoue Williams from Mountain Pointe High School announced on Monday that he received an offer from High Point and it was an exciting time for him.

“I’m very excited,” Williams said.  “I’ve always dreamed of playing college basketball. Top that off with getting an offer to play for a legendary coach where I could continue to grow and develop is an amazing feeling.  After doing some research and seeing his (Coach Smith) resume, I realize it would be a huge opportunity to learn from a great basketball mind.  I have to be honest; I feel honored to be offered by his program.”

He says it is just in the early stages of his recruitment with a few other schools but Navy has been showing the most interest his way and could be next behind High Point.
