Caleb Hollander

One of the great things Phenom Hoops provide is a platform for players to show out. It doesn’t matter if you come in with heavy accolades or as an unknown, every player who walks on the court at a Phenom Hoops event has equal opportunity to break out.

Here are some players who took advantage of our stage this July picking up numerous offers after playing in our various events:

6’6” 2017 Tevin Brown – SE Elite FBC
Coming into the Summer Havoc, Brown carried 7 D1 offers. It was taking shape as a Big South/SWAC type of feel. After his performance at our Summer Havoc Brown has picked up 18 offers and counting, and is taking on more of a Conference USA feel, with even bigger schools now taking notice. Brown has great size, is a good athlete, and can fill it up from 3-levels.

6’3” 2017 Ja Morant – SC Hornets
Coming into the Summer Havoc, Morant only had 3 offers Duquesne, UMES, and SC State. Through his play at multiple Phenom events this July he has quickly become one of the hottest names in the south. With 12 offers, Morant’s recruitment is now taking on an A10/SEC feel with more sure to come. It helps when you average 40.7 points per game through and event!!

6’1” 2017 Carter Collins – Durham Hurricanes
Collins is an alum of the North Carolina Top 80 and has been attending Phenom events for a couple years now. It took a monstrous July to finally turn coach’s heads. He averaged 29 points per game during the Summer Havoc and jumped from 3 offers to 12 offers. Now his recruitment has a great mix of schools from the CAA, to the Ivy, to the Ohio Valley Conferences. The high academic lefty is a jet with the ball and filled with tough confidence.

6’8” 2017 Evan Cole – Atlanta All Stars
Cole’s climb was steady, coming into the Summer Havoc he carried Tennessee Tech, Wofford and Furman offers. Coming out of the event he now has over 20 offers. His recruitment jumped to start to take on a Ohio Valley/A10/CAA feel, and rightfully so. Cole is a skilled big, with great size, and high level explosion. He can play and with his toughness will beat you on 3-levels.

6’9” 2017 Simeon Kirkland – CP25 SE Elite
Kirkland had a couple offers coming into the Summer Havoc, from the likes of High Point and Central Connecticut State. However, after the Havoc was played Kirkland’s recruitment took off. He now has over 17 offers spanning across the A10, Horizon, and CAA. Kirkland is a throw back big who has great length and some touch.

6’9” 2017 Sean Mobley – CP25 SE Elite
Playing at Montverde it is interesting how Mobley could fly under the radar, however Mobley came into the Summer Havoc with only 2 offers. He now carries offers from the ACC, Big 12, Big 10, A10 and others. The big man a mismatch on the floor due to his high motor and very skilled ability.

6’6” 2019 Josiah James – TMP Elite
James came into July as a local name, without much national fanfare. He left the Summer Havoc as a potential Top 50 prospect in his class and now has 3 offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Georgia Tech. The long lefty point guard plays with a great pace and makes everyone on his team better.

6’8” 2017 Caleb Hollander – WACG Corey Brewer
Hollander had just started making a name for himself coming into July. After playing in the Summer Havoc, the home schooled Hollander has now expanded his offer list into double digits, with offers spanning across the A10 and Conference USA. The big stretch four has deep range to match with his length and propensity to put the ball through the basket.

6’6” 2017 Ryan Schwieger – PSB Elite
The jumbo sized point guard, Schwieger now carries over 18 offers. Coming out of the Grassroots Tip Off Classic he picked up the likes of Charlotte and William and Mary. Coming out of the Summer Havoc Schwieger recruitment took another jump. Now he has offers from the likes of Yale/Princeton over into the A10 Conference. He has great size to go with his skill set and vision.
