Jaylen Curry

2020 6’7 Myles Hunter (Carmel Christian): Every time we watch Carmel, he seems to grab the attention of our scouts but give the young man credit, he continues to work hard and is showing how aggressive he can be on the floor.  A three-level scorer with tremendous length, he can be a matchup nightmare with his ability to take bigger defenders out on the perimeter and bully smaller defenders. You can tell he is playing with extreme confidence late into the season.

2023 6’0 Jaylen Curry (Vance): What automatically stands out about Curry is his ability to get up the court and his speed in the open court.  Listed a 6’0, he plays much longer than that, using his length to finish in transition.  Curry’s ability to break down defenders with his quick handles as well is also big-time.  Just another freshman in NC that will be fun to watch the more he plays.

2020 6’6 Daniel Ransom (Vance): Ransom is going to make WCU very happy in the future.  The amount of energy and work that he does on the floor is something coaches will absolutely love.  He plays incredibly hard, makes all the hustle plays, and there aren’t too many that are going to outwork him.  He was incredibly active on the boards and in the paint.  He is the leader for this team and one can see why.

Bench of Carmel Christian: The bench play for Carmel Christian really came up big.  It just wasn’t one either, as Bryson Piscano hit some big three’s in the first half, Kenny Gwynn stepped with some big buckets, 2023 Elijah Green stepped up at point guard, as well as others in critical minutes.  Need to give praise to them when it is deserving.
