Up north, 2021 6’6 Sean Durugordon has quickly been picking up offers over the last month, adding four new offers since December 20.  His latest coming from San Francisco, the junior prospect was excited about receiving the offer from the Dons, especially having a chance of playing in the West Coast Conference.

“It was great to get an offer from San Francisco,” he told Phenom. “They play in a very competitive league with Gonzaga and other teams, so I was really happy about that.  I’ve built a good relationship with Coach Mamadou.  He calls me and texts me a lot and just tells me how he loves my versatility and how I will be able to have an immediate impact at their school.”

His list of offers though has now doubled in the past few weeks, now earning eight total offers from an array of programs.  Schools like Fairleigh Dickinson, Sacred Heart, Binghamton, Wagner, NJIT, Marist, Fairfield, and San Francisco have all put an offer out but Durugordon mentioned a few other programs that are coming on strong as well.

“A lot of schools are involved right now,” he replied.  “St. Bonaventure, Fairfield, Marist, Hofstra, Holy Cross, and San Francisco are among the schools most in contact with me right now.  But DePaul also recently reach out.”

Assistant coach Marc Hsu has been in touch with Durugordon from DePaul, as they got a glimpse of his game over the holidays.

“He had watched me during one of the holiday tournaments last year and said he liked my game a lot and he is also from Queens, so we have that relationship already.”

As far as visits though, the only plans he has right now is that he hopes to take an official visit to San Francisco in the spring but nothing else has been scheduled as of yet.

Player’s Game Description:

“Very creative when scoring and can hit tough shots.  I can play all over the floor and I’m a very good rebounder for a guard; my passing is also very underrated.”
