Phenom Queen City Showcase provided a platform for players to increase their stock before the live period and that they did. Here are some of the quick hitters from Day 2 in Charlotte from Olympic High School.
2019 John Michael Wright: This kid is growing up before your eyes, as he showed that he can be a scoring point guard and his ability continues to grow every time we see him.
2019 Emmanuel Izunabor: This young man is a skinny big but continues to show that he can be a true rebounder and shot blocker. Just needs to continue his offensive capabilities.
2020 Ricky Council IV: What impressed was his size at such a young age. Already standing around 6’3, he really could be one to watch down the road with his ability and natural ability.
2018 Sharone Wright: One of the top players in the country for his class, with his size and capability to play so many positions and score, there is no doubt why he is being highly recruited.
2018 Vince Cole: This young man was tough and with his size, he can really score the basketball. Already a College of Charleston commit, he really could be lethal at the next level early on.
2018 Adafe Price: Not only does this kid smart, but super athletic and sometimes one wonders why schools are waiting on him. With his ability to now stretch the floor offensively, he becomes only more deadly.
2018 Ngoye Bob-Manuel: Kid is interesting. Played pretty well with solid post moves. Lower schools should really be looking at him with room to grow but with solid fundamentals.
2018 Gabe Bryant: This is the kid that you watch on the court and simply surprises you what he can do. Superbly athletic and looks to rip the rim off every time.
2018 Cole Guenther: Lengthy frame but a shooter from deep. Someone being 6’7 and can shoot has to attract some attention.
2019 Marten Maide: This could be a really big year for this sharp shooter. He showed why with a smooth stroke and knockdown capability. Watch for this young man.
2018 Aaron Wiggins: Really played well and knocked down shots, while showing his ability to use his length and wingspan to attack and finish at the rim.
2018 Devon Dotson: One of the top prospects at the event, this young man just bring confidence and basketball IQ to the table. Such a leader and natural point guard.
2018 Ian Steere: Steere is truly growing into being a big-time big man and an athletic one at that. He can throw it down for sure with power and made noise all day long.
2019 Donovan Gregory: If you want to know who made the biggest noise at Olympic by throwing down some bodies, look no further. Attacking guard that is superbly athletic.
2018 Tripp Greene: Greene showed that he can compete at the highest level. He played well playing point guard and understanding the defense, finding his teammates.
2018 Flo Thamba: Lengthy big man with a massive wingspan. He really cleaned up the boards when we watched him in a tough matchup against Team Charlotte.
2019 JC Tharrington: It amazes us how well Tharrington plays and displayed how much he understands the game of basketball. He doesn’t turn the ball over, he can flat out shoot it, and plays under control.
