Millbrook has had a tradition of producing fantastic Division I talent over the years and it looks like they have another prospect that will follow in line. A 6’5 point guard in Raleigh, Nolan Dorsey (the younger brother of Patrick Dorsey) has seen a tremendous rise in his recruitment this summer with his play, as Phenom Hoop Report got in touch with the senior guard to see what all has been going on.

Big summer for Dorsey:
Dorsey continued to work hard over the years and it seemingly has been paying off. Since May, Dorsey has seen his offers increase into double digits and some big-time schools are making an impression on him. He was able to catch a lot of eyes this summer.
“This summer was great,” Dorsey said. “I think I caught a few people off guard, starting with that first AAU live period in April. I’ve made big strides and a lot of improvement in my game since the end of last school season.”
The senior guard has been working on being more versatile with his game and aggressive on the court this offseason. But he also admits that he thinks the game is slowing down for him, getting a better understanding of what he can do on the floor, and just studying the game more.
Recruitment Update:
The Raleigh product holds double-digit offers right now but schools like Appalachian State, Western Carolina, Campbell, Niagara, High Point, Navy, Air Force, and Stetson have been the schools that have been targeting him.
His latest offer came from New Mexico, a school that he will be visiting this weekend.
“Talking to Coach Weir, I gained a lot of respect for him,” Dorsey said. “He likes my game, which I appreciate and I think my game fits their style of play, so I’m definitely interested.”
He also has a visit to Niagara coming up in the future as well. Right now, Western Carolina has been the only visit he has taken, saying “the visit went great.”
“The staff is really good and they have been recruiting me for a while, they were the first Division I offer. I think Coach Prosser is going to do some really good things with the program.”
With those offers, schools like Northern Kentucky, Lipscomb, Mercer, and Boston have all expressed interest and could join the party in his recruitment, as Dorsey still is remaining open with his recruitment.
