On November 7th, Phenom Hoop Report will be hosting our third annual High School Jamboree at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Over 30 teams will be making their way to Tournament Town to showcase their talents to a plethora of scouts, college coaches, and passionate fans. After thorough review of the field, our team decided to put together a little “sneak preview” of individual players and teams that people need to keep a close eye on.

Sam Okauru:
Sam Okauru is quickly emerging as one of North Carolina’s most intriguing guards in the loaded 2018 class. After watching this stud compete with Garner Road throughout the course of the summer, it became apparent to us he can play with the big boys. The 6’5” sophomore has tremendous size, phenomenal court vision, and an abnormal scoring ability for a kid his age. His limitless range, solid frame, and impressive ball handles allow him to get the job done at all levels. If he can slightly improve defensively, and work on a few pieces to his overall game, Okauru could develop into a monster in the coming years. Look for this hoss to put on a show at the Jamboree this coming weekend.
Drake Harris:
Drake Harris is one of North Carolina’s most interesting players. He isn’t necessarily a force on the floor, and he doesn’t exactly “wow” you with anything too impressive, but his determination and team leadership abilities make him a player you don’t want to miss. Harris, a USC Upstate Baseball commit, is consistently a solid contributor his for squad. He can knock down jumpers, find the open man, and run the floor with just about anybody. Despite being a tad bit undersized, Harris never seems to fear any competition. Look for his mental toughness and gritty nature to provide a nice spark on both ends of the floor for his squad. Although he may not be a stat stuffer in the eyes of many, people can expect Harris to play a key role for the Knights throughout the event. The future is definitely bright for NRCA.
Greyson Kelley:
Kelley has long been a name to be watched for. He is a tough and gritty player, that simply produces stats each time out. He had a very good summer playing with Pro Skills Basketball, and picked up interest from Ivy and Patriot League schools. The high academic wing will simply get the job done, and do so at a highly efficient rate.
