Phenom’s Southern Jam (July 28-30)

The Phenom Hoops platform brings in major names, the names that everyone in the country talks about. However, the major part of the platform is the spotlight our platform puts on players people don’t talk about yet. Phenom’s Southern Jam is the last travel ball event of the 2017 season. Phenom Hoops will have over 100 teams coming in from 9 different states (North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, and Pennsylvania). Everyone of these teams will be performing on the Phenom Hoops Platform.
Our track record speaks for itself, so when coaches hear us suggest for them to come watch a player they make the effort to do so. Here is part 1 of D1 prospects Coaches will want to see July 28-30.
6’6” 2018 Adafe Price
Queen City Thunder (NC)
Price goes out and makes plays on both ends of the floor. The 2-way lengthy and athletic player plays with a great pace. He shot the ball well in the mid range and is a high academic student. With one year to go, Price is already his high school’s all-time leading scorer, D1s need to get in line and see.
6’7” 2018 Sam Woods
Manzer Basketball (SC)
Woods has made his name on excelling at the hustle plays. The lefty, makes it a point to rebound, deflects and blocks shots left and right. Woods plays well above the rim as well as is showcasing a developed jump shot out to 18 feet. Woods makes winning plays.
6’6” 2018 Elijah Lockhart
Carolina Magic (NC)
Lockhart plays an extremely loud game. He is a lengthy forward with great explosion and a versatile skill set. Lockhart sees the floor well from the block and high post. He attacks off the bounce and shows good footwork. Lockhart has come on strong in July and has really put himself in position to start gathering scholarships.
6’3” 2019 Zay Martin
Upward Stars York (SC) 17s
Martin is a strong and athletic guard. He has the ability to get downhill off the wing and finish above the rim in traffic. Martin is a tough defender and makes shots from beyond the arc. Toughness is a major part of Martin’s game, but it’s the added skill set that makes him a prospect.
6’ 2018 Kenny Dye
Flight 22 Elite (NC)
Dye wins, and there is no better quality to have in a point guard. Dye plays virtually mistake free basketball and shows the ability to score at all 3 levels. Dye is a defending North Carolina state champion where he averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 assists and 3 steals per game. Coaches should sit baseline and get excited.
