Jalen Seegars announced this summer that he would be transferring from Page High School to a loaded High Point Christian Academy, joining up with a few other top prospects in the state of North Carolina.

But that isn’t the only big news that he has been receiving this offseason. The 6-4 guard from Greensboro averaged 17.7 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game for the Pirates, leading them to a 21-6 overall record. With his play though, several high major programs have been showing interest in the talented guard.

Phenom Hoops spoke with Seegars briefly about which schools have been showing him interest since this offseason and he said schools like Wake Forest, UConn, East Carolina, Richmond, and College of Charleston all have been in touch with him. But which schools has been coming the hardest'

“They are looking forward in coming to see me more but UConn is blowing me up the most,” Seegars said.

Right now though, he holds offers from Winthrop, Vermont, Monmouth, and Hampton, but that could easily change with another successful season like he had with Page last year.

With the talent that will be on board to watch High Point Christian this season, there is no doubt more suitors will be learning more about this talented guard. He can put the ball on the floor and score when he needs to, guard several positions, and knock down outside shots.

Seegars is a tremendous athlete on the court and we will not be surprised at all if his name start rising up the recruiting boards for several high-major programs and more offers come in.

With the amount talent now at High Point, college coaches will certainly be flocking to watch and getting their own taste of what Seegars can provide on the court.

He is currently ranked at No. 21 in Phenom Hoops 2017 Rankings, but no one would be surprised if that rises after another tremendous season like last year.
