Tre Turner enjoyed an outstanding freshman year at Northwest Guilford and his stock, growth and improvement has continued to soar this past summer playing with CP3 “travel ball” basketball team.

We first watched Tre at one of the NC Phenom 150 camps and we stated, “Tre is a strong competitor who showed flashes of being able to take the game into this own hands and find his way to the basket.” With a strong NC Phenom 150 camp performance and freshman season at Northwest Guilford, Tre was an easy selection to the prestigious NC Top 80 event.

At the NC Top 80 event, “Tre demonstrated an outstanding attitude and showcased his upside and potential for all in attendance. The younger brother of Charlotte Hornets PJ Hairston, Turner has quietly gone about his business and has already put his name on the D1 prospect list. He has a nice blend of athleticism, skill set and more importantly the correct mindset. He has a big upside if he continues working on his game! The sky’s the limit.”

At the CP3 Live event, Tre once again was getting the job done and he does it rather quietly. Game after game, Tre did all the little things necessary to help his team win. He’s a low risk, high reward player. Always making the right play and rarely ever making a mistake on offense or defense.

Never once do you watch and think he is the leading scorer simply because all his points come easy and within the framework of the offense. However, at the end of most games when you look at the score sheets, Tre is not only the team’s leading the scorer, but also the game’s leading scorer. This is vintage Tre Turner, quietly getting buckets.
