College coaches always could use a player that you could fit in at multiple positions and produces.

6'5 David Pino is that guy.

A player that doesn't get the attention that he deserves, Pino continues to be a swiss army knife on the floor, producing in multiple areas. Patrick O'Brien recently said this after watching Pino play at the Summer Havoc, one of several times he has seen him play.

'A 6'5 utility player on the court. Does everything, plays every position, and does what his team needs to find success.  He also knows how to score on multiple areas of the court.'

Pino, who played at Charlotte Catholic, understands how to effective at multiple positions.  At Charlotte Catholic, he showed the ability to handle and initiate the offense, score off the dribble from the perimeter, but he also has an understanding of how to play in the paint and rebound, as he was the biggest prospect on the team.

He did the same at the Summer Havoc for the Charlotte Dragons.

Pino said that he is a player that is always looking to make the best play on the court, whether it is the right pass or just being aggressive.  He is at his best when he is slashing and finishing at the rim but also showcases a nice mid-range jumper and can hit from three.  What really has to intrigue you about his play is his ability to defend 1-4 at 6'5.

This past weekend at the Summer Havoc, Pino averaged nearly 25 points per game, as well as rebounding and distributing.

He showed that he could be an underrated get for a program; a player that you could plug in on the floor and he simply will be a factor.

Currently, Pino is part of the 2020 class but there could be a chance that he reclasses into 2021.  Division III schools have offered him already but there have been other schools that have been reaching out.  VMI and Queens reached out during this past high school season, while UNCG recently expressed interest.
