Jaelin Llewellyn
By Jamie Shaw

Llewellyn moved down from Canada only a month or two ago, and he quickly made his mark at Virginia Episcopal. The junior point guard is quick as a hiccup, with a great feel for producing offense.

Llewellyn's game comes to him honestly, his father (Cordell) played college ball. He started off at Wake Forest and then finished his career at Rhode Island, where the 6'3' wing averaged 13 points and 5 boards his senior year. Well Cordell has produced a major college prospect.

Llewellyn says that he watches a lot of Kyrie, Steph Curry, and most recently James Harden. While he doesn't try to model his game after any one player, he will try and take a piece of all of them and incorporate it into what he does. To his own admission he is a point guard who sees the floor but can really score it when needed.

In this game, Llewellyn showed his ability to score. He finished with a game high 27 points. He was able to touch the paint regularly, but also made 5 3s. Llewellyn was truly a team guy as well as he was able to seamlessly switch off from the point or the two positions.

Llewellyn's recruitment is just getting started, but it is already taking the shape of a high major process. He already claims offers from the likes of Providence, Wake Forest, UNLV, Tennessee, and others. He says he regularly hears from schools like UConn, Harvard, Princeton, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati.

Yes, I am sure you noticed Harvard and Princeton in the mix. Academics are very important to Llewellyn as he carried a 96 average so far while at Virginia Episcopal.

Llewellyn is a dynamic player and person. His best basketball is ahead of him, as he is already a big time producer.
