6’1” 2018 Josiah Jeffers
PSB Elite 17s
By Jamie Shaw

Josiah Jeffers just completed his junior season at The Burlington School. Through his first 3 seasons at the school (two as a starter) Jeffers has accumulated a record of 96-2 and won two NCISAA State Championships.

To say that Josiah Jeffers is a winner may be an understatement, but he is. He is a very quick point guard who plays with a great pace. He is very team oriented on both ends as he plays with his head up and is a stingy on ball defender.

As with most players in the state, Jeffers is an alum of the North Carolina Top 80. After his performance at the event we wrote, “Another player who really took advantage of this platform. Jeffers is a very talented point guard who is good at a lot of things. He is a 3-level shot maker and a quick twitch ball handler. He is able to get into the lane and is a ball hawk on ball defender. A very steadying force who should see a recruitment boost quickly.”

The subtlety of Jeffers game may cause him to fall under the radar at times. Though he is a ball hawk on defense with quick hands and feet. He is makes shots at all 3 levels. Jeffers Assistant Coach at The Burlington School Will Robeson says,“Basketball is in his veins. He is part of the 2018 class and played up in age his whole life. He has range on his shot and can finish at the rim, while also playing excellent on the ball defense. He plays with the utmost confidence.”

Currently Jeffers carries only a Longwood offer. He will be getting on the road with the PSB Elite 17s squad this summer. As he is seen his recruitment should really jump. He makes an entire team better.

PSB Elite 17s will be playing at Phenom’s Challenge LIVE April 21-23 in Spartanburg, SC.
