There may not be a more productive player in the state of North Carolina than Kody Shubert. He currently carries 7 Division 1 offers and has already scored 1,000 career points in only 2 years of varsity basketball.

Last season Shubert averaged 20.1 points, 6.7 assists, 6.2 boards, and 3.1 steals per game, he did all of this while maintaining a 4.5 GPA in the classroom.

As with most of the elite players in the state, Shubert is a two time attendee of the North Carolina Top 80. This prestigious event brings the state's best talent together to compete against one another. After this year's performance we wrote, ''He is an exceptional floor general and simply knows how to play the game and make winning plays. Coach Gary stated, 'Kody has the ability to set up his teammates in the right position where they can score. He has great court sense and vision. Kody can score with tremendous range extending out to the 3-point line.' In addition, Kody is difficult to guard simply because he is constantly changing speeds. In our opinion, he is the consummate PG who understands the nuances of his position. As with many great lead guards, Kody makes his teammates better with his leadership on the court.'

While being a top shelf point producer, Shubert has incredible court vision and also sports a 39' vertical leap when attacking the basket. He has all the flash you want with the ball in his hands, but he does it in a very fundamental way, within the flow of the offense. After watching him in this summer's Phenom Summer Jam we wrote, 'Shubert is a deft passer to go along with his excellent handle in the half court. He has a surprising 39' vertical leap, and range that extends well beyond the 3-point arc.'

Currently Shubert has offers from the likes of Central Florida, American, Hampton and others. Expect that list to grow immensely, this one is good!
